Presentation of the project
Since 2015, we have developed a completely new, highly efficient and energy-autonomous building technology with flexibly bonded wood and glass components.
The buildings are modular, flexible in design and meet the wishes of modern, demanding homeowners. With its continuous large glass surfaces and many spatial possibilities, the technology corresponds exactly to the current trend towards living outside the big cities "in the countryside". You can´t live closer to nature, more connected and more sustainable than with our wood-glass construction.
This is exactly the direction in which building will (have to) develop according to the EU Green Deal. The EU Commission would like to see a new "European Bauhaus" as a creative movement, because buildings and infrastructures are responsible for at least 40% of all greenhouse gases. In addition, modern constructions mostly use cement and steel, two materials whose production consumes a lot of energy and directly releases CO2.
What is required is a building industry in harmony with nature, relying on natural materials such as wood, and architecture with forms and construction principles close to nature, planning for sustainability from the very beginning.
This is exactly what we have achieved with Crystal Palais in Ellipse- Form (Postmodern Industrial Gothic architectural style). In addition to functional advantages of a self-sufficient building, we have developed the following new technical USP, among others:
External walls and roof made of large flat glass panes ESG cold bent and glued to wooden frames
Controlled vacuum heat-sound insulation for floor, roof, side and partition walls.
Windows, doors with controllable compressed air seals
Energy from sunlight and heat. Blinds from photovoltaic, roof blinds from solar film
Used air with residual heat (ventilation, kitchen, CHP) extracted for heating and fertilizing.
Flexibly connected wooden structure without tensions, without metal composite, noiseless.
Market, Market Position & Competition
Home construction is booming. The market for prefabricated houses is worth around €3 billion p.a. What is new is a clear change in the location priorities of real estate buyers. Due to the corona pandemic, the demand for "living in the countryside" or at least in rural areas is increasing. Our Crystal Palais is ideally suited for this due to its open design.
No competitor offers a comparable building - neither in terms of new technologies nor in terms of design.
Our target group is open-minded people who want to combine beauty and elegance with practicality and high quality - and show it to the outside world. People with an affinity for technology, who are well acquainted with digital media and who do not want to live in densely populated residential areas. The automated house control will not only inspire "techies". The Crystal Palais is also suitable for residential/office combinations.
In Europe, we see a potential of 500 houses per year in the medium term for highly automated houses with exciting new technologies and unique ellipse-shaped glass building.
Company history (company situation & development)
Foldyna Design Engineering e.K. is represented by Ladislav Foldyna and was born out of professional career.
In 1992 I acquired a car dealership in Middle Franconia and built up this brand branch as a contractual representative. In 1997, a second car dealership was acquired as a contractual partner, which was sold in 2005. Finally, in 2015, all car dealerships and shares in the companies were sold in favor of the development of the Crystal Palais.
In 2016, the land for construction of the show house in the Bavarian Forest was acquired. In 2017, the building permit for the show house was issued. 2016-2022 Design and development of the project and production preparations of components and delivery logistics. Construction of the show house, establishment of the contract network and sales launch are planned for 2023.
Patent rights and model house are owned by the construction company e. K.
Management & employees / shareholder structure
In addition to Foldyna Design Engineering e. K., represented by Ladislav Foldyna, a team of a senior designer and young designer, who is currently still undergoing training in a Munich structural engineering office, is planned.
For the sales company to be founded, two experienced employees are initially selected - an industrial clerk with sales experience, an experienced accountant with an economics baccalaureate with DATEV certification. Further in the project preparation young coworkers are involved, who take then guidance positions in the selling company m.b.H..
At the moment they are working as external employees on the project and gradually they will be involved full time in the sales department.
All employees are to receive company shares based on success.

The Crystal Palais is a highly technical passive house with self-energy management. Energy efficiency is achieved in the Crystal Palais differently than in conventional construction. The complete glass cladding including the roof forms enormous potential of light and heat energy in the interior of the building, which serve as the main energy sources in the spacious house.
Patents protect us against "imitators". Acquirable returns from the concept are very high.
As the name Crystal Palais suggests, we are building a glass, high-end house for high demands on design, closeness to nature, degree of automation and sustainability. The market for this is given and we are looking for investors who are partly secured by the free plot of the planned show house, to start the build-up of the serial production and the distribution (external via distribution partners) together with us.
